Starting a business can be a daunting venture for any new business owner, there are so many different laws that must be observed, and licenses to be obtained, the best thing the business owner can do is to get advice from an attorney. An attorney can guide you in all the legal steps that are so important to get started on the right foot.
You might think that only corporations need attorneys and that as a small business owner the advice of your CPA is sufficient. While an accountant can help you concerning cash flow and all financial matters, an attorney is the person who can help you decide the type of business organization you should register. He/she will also ensure that your business complies with state and federal laws, he will prepare and file all the documents required by federal and state agencies.
As a small business owner you will probably have to enter into some employment agreements, legal advice will be needed during negotiations.

I know that estate agents in South Yorkshire will sell my house in South Yorkshire so that I can get the most value for my house as possible. They will do this in a number of different ways. One of the best aspects about using estate agents for this purpose is that they know how to value a home. If you price your home the wrong way when you are trying to sell it yourself, or if you use an inexperienced agent who is not familiar with the area, then you might end up cheating yourself. You need to make sure that you get the best price as possible for your home.
One of the things that I like about the idea of using estate agents in South Yorkshire to sell my house in South Yorkshire is the fact that they will tell me if there is anything about my house that will turn off a potential buyer. In some cases, there may be things that a homeowner can do to help themselves in this type of situation when they are trying to sell their home. This can include making some cosmetic changes to the house that will appeal to buyers and make them more inclined to purchase your home over other homes in the area. As I want to sell my house in South Yorkshire, I know that the best way to do so is to use qualified estate agents in South Yorkshire who are well aware of the area and the price of the homes. Anyone who has a house for sale in this area, or who is thinking of selling their house in South Yorkshire has a better chance of getting a qualified buyer faster if they use an estate agent as opposed to trying to sell the house on their own.
The first thing that I will do when I want to sell my house in South Yorkshire is to make sure that it is valued properly. This is one way that estate agents in South Yorkshire can help me. As they are well aware of the prices of the other houses in the area that are similar to mine, they can price my house so that I can get the most for my money. I want to sell my house in South Yorkshire for the most money I can get for the house and not end up taking less than what I can get. To set up a storage and warehousing business requires several licenses and permits. But the first couple of things you will have to do are:
- Register your business first with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA). Your business must register as a sole proprietorship, partnership or a private limited company. A private limited company is the best option given the liabilities involved in a storage and warehousing business.
- Secure a premise for your business. The premise has to be zoned for commercial use.
Securing a Premise
Once you have secured a space, do make sure that it is current on building codes and fire safety measures. If the premise needs to be converted into a warehouse for storage of goods, you will have to obtain a permit from Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). URA has a specific rule called the 60:40 Rule for the conversion. The rule stipulates that at least 60% of the gross floor area (GFA) is designated for warehouse usage; and 40% of the GFA can be used for office space, cafeteria or communal facilities. As a startup business grows into a small business, it is common for the accounting duties to overwhelm the business owner. This is generally the time that a search begins for some help. But does your business need a bookkeeper or an accountant? While some job tasks may overlap the two jobs are defined differently.
What is a Bookkeeper?
A bookkeeper handles the mechanical functions of maintaining accounting records. They follow a regimented monthly schedule and enter all transactions into subsidiary ledgers. These functions are broken down into accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll in larger companies. It would be ideal to have each function separated between employees for security reasons. However, for smaller companies one bookkeeper might perform all of these functions. A person who does all of the bookkeeping as well as preparing the monthly financial statements is called a full charge bookkeeper. Developing an idea, writing a business plan and starting up your own company is tough but can be very fulfilling if you get it right. New company networking is one such activity that can help you succeed in business.
Misconceptions
One common misconceptions that many new business owners find is that they expect to achieve results almost instantaneously. We are all eager but turning up to your first business networking event and expecting to get a couple of sales there and then may be a little too ambitious.
Another misconception is that everyone is out to sell to you there and then. Everyone is there is sell eventually but those who attend business networking events frequently come to realise that there may also be good opportunities to buy too. It goes without saying that the ultimate aim of business is to make a profit and people usually need time to get to know you before they buy your products or use your services. Also, if you are busy try to sell then you might miss an opportunity to work with someone who’s services may be able to make you a profit. Continue reading ‘New Business Networking’ »

People make businesses work. Knowing your market is very important and getting to know other business owners is key to success. Making profits involves forming relationships with people who can provide you with opportunities. But it must always be a win win situation. Both parties must get something out of the deal. If your business is one sided, i.e. you take money but don’t deliver on expectations, then your business cannot be sustainable.
Growing your business
Recession are tough and it is tempting to cut out your marketing budget. But running a company with no marketing will soon lead to failure. You must speculate to accumulate so sitting in the office and waiting for sales to just roll in rarely works. Maximise on your existing customers by upselling complimentary services but bear in mind that you need new customers too to grow your business. Get out there to your local business networking events particularly if you are a startup business. Continue reading ‘Business Network Events For Early Stage Businesses’ »
